Badge 380 issued by Sheriff Arnold Willmann in 1943 to Louis Brown.  Lou remained on the sheriffs department until he was elected as the Marshal / Chief of Police for Valley Park, Mo. in 1950.   He retired from Valley Park in 1986.

DEPUTY SHERIFF
     Ida James became a deputy Sheriff in 1940 where she was assigned to the jail section. Mrs. James retired from the county in 1960. Her husband, Richard James resigned as the Chief of Police for Valley Park, Mo. in 1937 and joined the sheriffs department as a jailer.

Badge belonged Ann Clark who became a deputy sheriff in the 1940's for St. Louis County, Mo.
    Fred Horsfall was born in St. Louis County Mo. on November 11, 1912.  He became a St. Louis County Deputy Sheriff in 1959.  Fred retired from the county in 1979 and died in October 2005.
