Pete  Giacopelli
Retired Marshal / Chief of Police
    Pete was born in 1924 and grew up in Richmond Heights Mo.  After graduating from Maplewood High School, Pete served with the US Navy during WW2.

    In 1960, Pete became a patrolman with the Brentwood Missouri Police Department.   In 1963, Pete decide to get into politics and run for the elected position of Marshal for Brentwood which was held every two years.  Pete did win the election in 1963, 1965, and 1967.  The Marshal’s position remained until 1969.  It was at that time the elected Marshal’s position was eliminated by the voters of Brentwood which created the appointed position of Chief of Police.

    In 1969, Pete was appointed as the 1st Chief of Police for Brentwood, which he held until his retirement in 1981.  In 1972, Pete attended the the FBI Nation Academy.  Thanks to Pete’s son, David Giacopelli for all of the information and pictures of Pete’s law enforcement memorabilia career.
